This book was written, designed, and produced by students and faculty in MICA’s GD MFA program. Indie Publishing aims to demystify the publishing world in an age of handmade zines, desktop publishing, print-on-demand distribution, and univeral software. The book looks at different publishing genres, including poetry, fiction, illustrated children’s books, and gallery catalogues, providing tips on layout, production, book structure, and typography.
