Ellen Lupton is curator of contemporary design at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum in New York City and director of the Graphic Design MFA program at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore. This was Ellen Lupton’s first exhibition as curator of contemporary design at Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum. In some ways it remains her most memorable project. The book, a potpourri of pop culture ephemera and feminist design theory, was designed by Ellen Lupton with assistance from Hall Smyth.
